The Remarkable 2 charges most effectively when connected to the USB port on your computer or a wall socket. Ensure that any charging source provides a max of 5 volts.
From their site:
•Try charging your device using different electrical outlets, such as the USB port on a computer or a wall socket.
•Check that the USB-C cable is working correctly. You can test this by connecting the cable to other compatible devices, to see if they charge normally.
•If your cable won’t charge other devices, try charging your reMarkable with a different USB cable. Use a USB cable connected to a wall outlet (max 5 v)
