The vase was porcelain greenware that was hand-painted and fired by the artist Mary Martin of Birmingham Alabama. Miss Martin painted from the late 80s through the 1990’s. Miss Martin had no children and left her collection to her twin nieces who also had no children. They decided to sell some of the pieces from the estate and I was lucky enough to acquire a part of the collection. I have some additional pieces if you’re interested. As you can see, she has a very indiscreet signature on her original pieces. Some of them are dated.
