Pour Monsieur After Shave 1967 (A Gentlemen’s After Shave by )

availability: in Stock

This is a circa 1967 bottle (and formula) of what now sells as Pour Monsieur. There’s a confusing history of when this was called what, but I’ve narrowed it down to be around 1967 due to size presentation and certain aspects of the bottle.

The juice is pristinely preserved as the aldehydes, lemon, and basil are in almost new condition with nearly zero UV oxidation.

75% full. 3ozs of the original 4ozs remains. Purchased with all 4 ounces still intact. I’ve only used a handful of splashes to shave with. No box.

Pour Monsieur is an eternal classic. Created by Henri Robert in 1955. It opens gradually. There is a citrus freshness in the top notes, with aromatic and citrusy touch of verbena: lemon, verbena, neroli and orange. The spicy heart presents a fresh mix of cardamom, coriander, basil and ginger. The oak moss and cedar creat a sharp ending.

Top: Sicilian Lemon, Petitgrain and Neroli

Middle: Cardamom, Ginger, Coriander and Basil

Base: Oakmoss, Vetiver, and Cedar
