Albert Goddard Everett was born in Ogden, Utah in 1919 and was doing his LDS missionary service in Australia when World War II broke out. He joined the Army Engineer Corps after his missionary work, serving from 1942-46. Albert then earned several college degrees and moved here to Fresno in 1952 with his wife and kids. He taught high school History and Civics classes for 30 years until retiring. After retiring, Albert returned to his artistic roots and became an award-winning water colorist. This expertly executed 1981 painting of a snow-laden forest shows his mastery of shading and color. It measures 11 x 16 inches and has been matted to 14 x 18 inches for easy framing. Albert signed and dated the painting in the lower left corner. The artwork and mat are both in excellent vintage condition.
