British bodybuilder, stuntman, and actor Dave Prowse was born in 1925. His powerful physique and towering height (6 foot 6 inches) led to parts as bad guys and monsters in British movies and television. He will always be best remembered as Darth Vader in the first three “Star Wars” films. Prowse died in 2020 from COVID-19 after having retired from public life just a few years earlier. This vintage 1980 “The Empire Strikes Back” postcard has been signed in person by David in red Sharpie. He added the phrase ‘Is Darth Vader’ after his name because a lot of people think of James Earl Jones (Darth Vader’s voice) when they think of Darth Vader. The card measures 4x6 inches and is in excellent condition.
