This is a doubled die Jefferson Wartime Nickel variety where the 3 is stamped over the 2. It is actually the entire date 1943 stamped over 1942 and the entire date is slightly doubled. The 3/2 variety will have a distinctive sharp hook on the bottom end of the three which looks similar to a barb on a hook. Sometimes the 4 will appear doubled and wider as well.
