RAKINES' Rigid washer tropical / R-pants.
This material is made to resemble the texture of suit fabric sometimes seen in vintage clothing stores, having been roughly handled and thrown into washing machines and dryers.
The fabric is made by dyeing a plain-woven wool fabric with a strong, crisp yarn, and then subjecting it to a hard wash before finishing. This causes the yarn to fuzz and shrink irregularly, creating fine irregularities like file marks on the surface of the fabric.
Originally, the yarn had a hard, solid texture, but this washing process causes the yarn to swell, resulting in a milder texture while still maintaining crispness, making it resistant to wrinkles and highly durable, making it an excellent material that can be handled roughly.
