The previous Super Wide Collection, which received high praise from various quarters, paid homage to the masterpiece of Levi's® that appeared in the 1950s. This time, turning the clock back even further, drawing inspiration from the archives of the 1940s, a turbulent era, BEAMS pursues a new expression of denim while following the concept of a wide silhouette.
The trucker jacket, characterized by its front appearance and cinch back, has reduced the front buttons to four and eliminated the pocket flaps. The jeans also faithfully reproduce the details of the time, such as the hand-drawn style of the Levi's® iconic back pocket arcuate stitch, olive herringbone pocket lining, and plain donut buttons.
Furthermore, the above denim items have increased fabric thickness to enhance durability. In addition, the iconic piss name and the selvedge (commonly known as red ear ) stitching, which prevents fraying at the fabric's edge, have been changed from the traditional red to BEAMS' corporate color, orange. The leather patch expressing the concept incorporates an unprecedented bold idea of using two patches for one.
