Ernst Leitz Canada 35mm F2.8 for Fuji FX Mount
This is an introduction to a lens that adapts the Leitz Canada 35mm F2.8, a lens originally for the gun camera of the Canadian Air Force CF104 Starfighter, to a Fuji FX mount.
The original gun camera was a 16mm movie camera.
To make the most of the original design and nameplate, a dedicated lens barrel and helicoid were newly designed and manufactured.
This is a unique item that you won't find anywhere else.
- The image circle sufficiently covers APS-C.
- The optics are believed to be dead stock or close to it.
Apart from slight scratches on the edge of the mount flange,
there is almost no sign of use.
- The aperture movement is smooth.
- The focus range is from infinity to approximately 35cm.
- The lens barrel and helicoid are new, created specifically for this lens.
Used only for testing.
- A new hood and cap have been created and included as accessories.
Made of aluminum, with baked-on paint.
The screws are in inches, so there are probably no substitutes.
