19Th Century Antique Glazed Earthenware GIEN Faience Bowl FRANCE
This large Gien bowl is decorated with fantastic animals, grotesques and cartouches in shades of blue and brown on white.
Designs such as this, inspired by the Italian Renaissance, formed a large part of the Gien production in the mid to late 19th century, mark dates to circa 1876.
Bowl is in excellent condition for its age. Beautiful craquelure all around.
