This is STUDIO D'ARTISAN's commemorative first model, the world's first vintage-spec selvage jeans, the DO1. The fabric for the newly recreated DO1 in this project was reproduced by researching the original fabric and recreating the twist count and unevenness of the yarn, using size 6 yarn from the spinning stage.
For the dyeing process, they focused on kase dyeing with Awa Tokushima indigo. The process of dyeing and drying, dyeing and drying was repeated meticulously, without sparing time and effort, a total of 20 times, to achieve a deep indigo color.
The stylish, wide silhouette inherited from French workwear is maintained in the new DO1.
