Nice vintage original souvenir butterfly card from Bill's Place, Pennsylvania - famous for having the smallest post office in the United States in the 1930s & 1940s. Greeting card front features a humorous camping scene with an unaware camper taking photos of two baby bears while the mama bear comes up behind him with message: Greetings from Bill's Place, Pennsylvania Envelope front is stamped with image of the Bill's Place post office and details about the post office and location. Bills Place (population 6) qualified as a town on the Pennsylvania map because it had the smallest post office in the United States with its own postmark, measuring 6 feet by 8 feet on the outside. Bill was William Wakefield, who ran an open-air restaurant serving hot lunches in the Blue Ridge Mountains of central Pennsylvania.
