80s 90s UNIVERZALE

These are Euro vintage trousers, likely made in Italy, with a 2-tuck design.
They have a hazy, chambray-like gray color.
Upon closer inspection, there's a checkered weave pattern.
I personally love slacks with this kind of weave and nep, and I like to have them in addition to different color variations.
They usually feel a bit scratchy, made of poly or wool tweed, but these have a soft touch, like summer wool.
There's no material tag, so I can't definitively say what the material is, but it's thin and has a smooth feel.
The zipper is a MEGA, which I haven't seen before.
These are wide slacks with a great texture.
