Arden owned prize Race Horses and a Horse Ranch in Kentucky Blue Grass country where she kept them. This is a fresh scent reminiscent of the wild flowers from the prairie meadows where the horses grazed. It was Arden’s signature perfume. It was very popular with her clientele, the Kentucky Derby Set and wealthy women who shopped at her posh Red Door Salons and clothing stores. It is a lovely scent and can still be purchased in department stores today. Blue Grass by Elizabeth Arden is a Floral Green fragrance for women. Blue Grass was launched in 1936. Top notes are Aldehydes, Lavender, Geranium, Lily, Bergamot, Orange Blossom and Neroli; middle notes are Lavender, Carnation, Spices, Clove, Narcissus, Bay Leaf, Jasmine, Tuberose and Rose; base notes are Benzoin, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Musk, Cedar and Tonka Bean.A refreshing fragrance for everyday use. It starts with citrus and green fruit notes, which transform into floral notes.Ads in the 1960s featured a beautiful girl with windblown long hair and her horse in a meadow of wild flowers. A Beautiful romantic image for a beautiful romantic perfume. Just look at how long it has lasted on the market! 1936 to 1924 and it is still selling strong!
