This is another one of my all time favorites, quite possibly my favorite, for a number of reasons. It's a beautiful handmade, wire wrapped and pounded by hand brass, carnelian & agate statement necklace, made my brilliant (now passed) mentor, Michael Thomas & repurposed by myself, he only made 1 of these that I know of. He was a self taught jewelery designer & maker, getting his start in 1969 during the start of the summer of love on Haight St. The brass wire weaved beads you see are amazing in their own right, a small one would take him approximately 1 hour to make & when you really take a close look & study them, you'll be able to see the time & attention for detail making one of these required. Truly unique & quite honestly, kinda priceless to me but since owning this for a number of decades, it's only sat on my altar & it would only feel right if it were in the world being enjoyed by other people.
