This is a genuine early-model CROWN chevron zipper.
The condition is surprisingly good for a product that's over 80 years old, but unfortunately, the top stopper on the left side is missing, and it's a short type, about 30cm long.
It's likely intended for use on a sheepskin vest worn over an A-2 jacket, or something similar.
There's a small spring inside the slider that allows it to return automatically, but these springs can sometimes come loose, so it can also be used as a spare slider.
