This antique crock from James Keiller & Son's, originating from Dundee, Scotland, represents a piece of British culinary history. Originally established in 1797, the company used stoneware jars exclusively until 1928. This quintessential, antique 1lb Dundee Orange Marmalade jar has black graphics & is in nice condition. You'll notice it is James Keiller & Son Ltd, as well as 2 medals: Medal of Merit Vienna 1873 &Medal for Marmalade London 1862, this dates this particular jar between 1873-1898.
Jar measures 4 1/2 tall x 2 3/4 opening & measures 2 3/4 at the base & has embossed on the bottom MADE IN ENGLAND Its antique status makes it a valuable addition to any collection, farmhouse or vintage decor!
