This is one of the rarest Swiss watches with an important dial that I have ever come across.Paying homage to the great Ernest Borel Cocktail Time watches with kaleidoscope design, Auguste Reymond takes this design one step further and adds an ETA 2824 movement with 28,800 bph. That's a pretty powerful automatic movement!Realistically, probably hundreds of these watches may exist even though 1 example of this watch can be found on Youtube.Looking at this dial is mesmerizing enjoying the 28800 beats on the second hand which drives the kaleidoscope wheel as seen in the pics and video. Most auto watches beat at 21600 per hour but this ETA is a workhorse and can spin that kaleidoscope wheel so nicely at 28800.Some will ask why the 2824 movement is used here when there is no day date feature on the watch. The watchmaker decided to not add functions when the kaleidoscope dial was the main attraction. The watchmaker decided to keep this movement nonetheless because of its high quality workhorse nature.Probably made in 2009, this watch appears to never have been serviced.Tested to run slow by 9 seconds per day so definitely could use a servicing.25 jewels is a lot for an average watch but this is not average but rather extraordinary.Notwithstanding service issues, this work of art time piece is ready to wear for any occasion with its original leather blue band. Some regular wear is shown on the band.EXCLUSIVE TO PM only!DON’T MISS OUT!!
