This is one of several beautiful jewelry items that belonged to my mother. I have had them simply sitting in a box in a closet but I now believe it is better that they be worn and appreciated by someone who will love them. She had exquisite taste in jewelry and just in general.
This is a beautiful vintage malachite and gold beaded necklace. There are 82 individual malachite beads that are about 8mm in diameter. There are 4 large gold bead accents, also about 8mm, and 8 small gold bead accents. I cannot find a marking on any of the gold and it has no clasp but based on the quality of the necklace I can't imagine that it is less than 14K. It is 30 long.
