This is a special order item from BOUTIQUE HERMITAGE, a select shop that was located in Minami-Senba, Osaka. It is a one-of-a-kind piece reconstructed by connecting spoon rings made by bending antique spoons and forks using a special technique. All the spoons and forks used are carefully selected antiques from the 1800s to the 1940s. It has a substantial weight, an intimidating atmosphere, and an overwhelming presence. Due to the considerable time and cost involved in its production, only a very small number of these items were produced. It's been almost 10 years since it was made, and since BOUTIQUE HERMITAGE has closed, it is unlikely to be produced again. If you're looking for one, don't miss out!
Piece Montee (ピエスモンテ) *** Piece Montee is a French term meaning table decoration. In 19th-century France, it referred to the tall, stacked dishes and decorations placed on the table before the meal to entertain guests, and it is the origin of the modern wedding cake. The concept is to combine and layer various materials, and the designer, who is also a chef, named the brand Piece Montee. In the 1970s, during the Vietnam War era, the designer, who lived in San Francisco, created this handmade custom accessory brand using techniques learned from hippies in HAIGHT & ASHBURY, using antique spoons and forks. The brand is now based in Japan.
