Handle drop approximately 9 inches. Inside has pockets galore and it’s roomy enough to carry all your goodies. The inside has “staining” from where leather color has bled into over time. Smells a tad musty but you should be able to get it out by putting some dryer sheets or perfume if you are not sensitive to scents as I am.(There are paper perfume ‘samples’ from a magazine in there currently.)
