Top Cleveland Guardians propect Chase DeLauter foul ball on 9/17/23. The last Akron Rubberducks game of 2023.
The 1st round draft pick was promoted to Akron and played AA 9/12-9/17.
This 6th inning foul ball was hit down the 3rd base line, hitting the tarp. The ball was collected and tossed up to me by Altoona Curve OF Lolo Sanchez. Chase DeLauter went on to single in the AB.
Chase has already amassed multiple honors, including Guardians Org All Star & Fall League honors as he quickly rose from Rookie League, High-A, to AA in 2023.
I have multiple balls from 2023 and want to share a peice of history in the making.
