Made in the early 1950s by Europa, it represents the beginning of a legacy. EW Fischer founded the company but went bankrupt 3 years later.
Production was then led by Günther Eheim. His product line was later bought by Brawa.
The set pictured is the first of two sets made under Europa. One set was a white Bakelite with a red stripe and the other was dark maroon like my set.
