1933-34 Babe Ruth professional game-used bat (Powerized & Oil Tempered) 35 R34 MODEL BAT
34.1 Ounces! possibly issued to Babe Ruth either in 1933 or 1934. It was produced only for two years. Babe Ruth swung a 125 model MEARS Authentication documentation suggests that in 1934, Babe Ruth ordered bats in the 35-37 ounces range. Foil stamped, and that is how these came from the Louisville Slugger Co. The bat exhibits heavy hitting ball marks and clear marks on the barrel. This is an extremely rare piece of history. The most important aspect is the 125 designation on the center-brand logo as well as the Oil tempered technique used to seal the wood during production. Ruth ordered only 2 of these from what we could find in records. This bat was used by Ruth at the end of his career when he finished his final season with NY and then played a shortened season with the Braves in 1935.
