"Jelt" denim was developed by Lee in 1925 to make a lighter more comfortable denim to work in with the strength of a 13 oz denim. This was a special process developed by Lee with a tighter weave and twisted yarn to achieve the tensile strength of a heavier denim. For those who have muscular thighs and need more room in the thigh. More tapered from the knee down. Not good for people with large calves.
