Stands approx. 9” tall; This figurine, I believe, is from 1950-60's. This belonged to my late grandfather, The Geisha is playing the shamisen, a three-stringed Japanese lute. Figurine is standing on a black square base. The base and the figurine do not come apart.Excellent condition. No cracks or chips. She is made in Italy. And I believe made out of a resin composite material. Feels and looks exactly like jade. It still has original manufacturer's “MADE IN ITALY” affixed to the bottom of the base.
