Vintage, sheer ivory dress, late 40's/early 50's, owned & worn by Oscar winner Vivien Leigh Scarlett O'Hara in GWTW, Blanche Dubois in A Streetcar Named Desire. In decent condition for being 70 yrs old. Fabric is very delicate & is a little frayed here & there. See photos of the little frayed areas/separations on the back of the dress. No tags, looks like a small size.
Dress is from personal collection of late costumer/wardrobe man Kent Phillip Warner & comes with typed letter signed & notarized stating he worked in the industry, met & became friends with VL, who gave him this dress to add to his collection.
See photos as they're part of the description. I have collected VL items for years but now must downsize. Please see my other listings.
I am including a photo (has a couple bends) of VL.
**Obviously, VL is NOT wearing this dress in the photo.
Would make a great Christmas gift! Email w/questions & thanks for looking!
