Patent leather is truly in pristine condition. The gold hardware on the flaps and inside have some wear but is not visible when you’re wearing because of the shine. A fabulous bag that deserves more life!! Smaller than hand see pics. Fits phone (i have iPhone 13) standing up as seen in last 3 pictures. Still have room for a small wallet card holder and lip gloss keys
