Chinese boy porcelain pillow. Chinese porcelain pillows are glazed with an enamel. They were used to relieve the summer heat by placing them under their heads because they are smooth and cool. They were very popular mass produced by the SONG dynasty 960-1279. The SUI dynasty 581-618 and Tang Dynasty 618-907 produced these Chinese porcelain pillows. This is a boy porcelain pillow. It measures 11 1/2 inches long 6 inches tall 4 inches wide and the middle 6 inches wide in the back.
