This small figurine depicts Joe 'The Fat Boy' from Dickens's first novel, The Pickwick Papers.
Genuine authentic ANRI vintage hand carved and hand painted wood figure. The company started making these circa 1920's. Size is 3.25 tall. Name of Dickens character is painted on front of base. Green felt on the base. Made in Italy
I've noticed knock offs of these floating around ebay. This one is guaranteed authentic. The quality of the craftsmanship is noticable as is the color and patina of the wood, as would be expected from a 1920 +/- figurine.
