This fleece jacket is a heritage model from THE NORTH FACE, developed in 1989 for expeditions.
The polyester microfleece material is lightweight, thick, and soft to the touch. It effectively traps dead air, keeping the inside of the garment warm, and the drawcord at the hem further enhances airtightness. The shoulders, which can interfere with a pack, are reinforced with nylon fabric. This model is compatible with the Zip-in Zip system, allowing you to connect an outer layer with a dedicated zipper.
This versatile item can be worn as an outer layer or a mid-layer, making it perfect for outdoor activities and everyday wear in autumn and winter.
**● What is POLARTEC (Polartec) material?**
This fleece material combines the warmth and ultralight weight of fleece while overcoming its only weakness: wind permeability. It has dominated the fleece market, being used by numerous outdoor brands and even in the US military's ECWCS level 3 layering system (fleece jackets, etc.), making it synonymous with fleece.
