
This exceptional framed pair of original works by celebrated Baltimore artist Sheppard beautifully captures moments from Maryland’s cultural past. Sheppard, known for his mastery of realism and historical scenes, has works in major collections including the Smithsonian American Art Museum.The upper image, Ellicott City Open Air Street Car, July, portrays a charming streetcar in motion, passengers enjoying the open air while a lone cyclist rides alongside. Below, June Concert in Druid Hill Park, 1920, depicts a lively summer crowd gathered near an ornate bandstand, complete with musicians and detailed period clothing.
