This Strasburg Heirloom Romper is a Treasure! This has not been produced in decades, making it a RARE FIND!! It has all the beautiful style and elements of the Original Strasburg. The romper is done is a 100% fine cotton lawn. The piece is done in a Soft-White and Ivory. The neckline has an Ivory piping followed by an oversized gathered white collar that is trimmed in an Ivory satin band. The bodice has glorious smocking that is done in a petite lattice design, in a contrasting matching Ecru/Ivory embroidery. The flowers are all done in bullion style embroidery (high-end craftsmanship-very time consuming ). The top of the smocking has a petite White piping giving a polished edge. Gathers sit beneath the smocking and fall into soft pleats down to the legs which gather with a matching Ivory 1/4" piping. Button inseam for easy changes. Even the sleeves are heavenly! The almost 3/4 sleeve length gathers 2 inches above the hem with elastic, leaving a lovely ruffle. A matching 3/8" Ivory satin ribbon trim ties into bows, leaving streamers. The back has a yoke with a button closure.A tiny snap at the neckline ensures there is no gap in the ruffled collar.
