Founded in New York in the late 1940s, it became a favorite of many celebrities, especially from the 1950s to the 60s.
The customer list included Franklin D. Roosevelt, the 32nd President of the United States, and popular actors of the time, among other famous people.
The secret of its popularity was the high quality finished by skilled craftsmen by hand and the sophisticated and artistic design. And now it is affectionately known as T.O.A. (Tee-Oh-Ay).
