Buzz Rickson's 30th Anniversary Model
A very valuable collector's item, sold out in all shops.
A decal representing the staff's pride is transferred to the left shoulder, a leather nameplate engraved with B.RICKSON on the left chest of the front, and a 30th-anniversary patch on the right chest. AIRCREW is stenciled on the back for staff use.

Although the tag is stamped with MA-1, I think the actual shape is L-2.
The L-2 was intended to be worn in the light zone (10°C to 30°C), so it does not have the padding like the MA-1 and other flight jackets, and has a clean silhouette without bulkiness.
The L-2, which appeared in 1945 as a successor to the A-2, was an innovative flight jacket at the time, using nylon dyed in olive drab.
In 1978, the CWU-36/P, which used heat-resistant aramid fiber (aromatic polyamide, product name Nomex), appeared, and this model, which has many fans, ended its mission.
The basic form is very similar to the MA-1, which was active for the intermediate zone at the same time.
The differences in appearance are that the L-2 series has pockets with dot button flaps, epaulets on the shoulders, and triangular flaps with dot buttons on the hem.
