US Military Flight Jacket CWU-45/P Size S Early Model VAQ-140
This is an early model of the genuine CWU-45/P flame-resistant flight jacket adopted by the US Air Force.
Features of the early model include action pleats on the back, vertical stitching on the wind flap, and Velcro for the inner pouch pocket. The pouch pocket is not included.
VAQ-140 Electronic Warfare Squadron 140 patch on the right chest,
Velcro base for the name patch on the left chest,
Prowler aircraft patch on the right sleeve,
American flag (yellow border) patch on the left sleeve.
Colonel rank insignia on both shoulders.
Each patch is sewn on.
Details unknown due to tag loss.

Material: Aramid flame-resistant material = trade name Nomex
Zipper is SERVALL, with pull tab ribbon,
Sleeve pocket zipper is also SERVALL
Each rib has fuzzing and pilling, but there appears to be no noticeable damage.
Size (measured flat):
- Shoulder width (straight line) approx. 44cm
- Sleeve length (from shoulder seam to rib end) 55cm + rib 7.5cm
Underarm seam to sleeve rib base 48.5cm
- Body width 56cm (112cm)
- Length (from collar base to rib end) 53cm + rib 7cm
Measured by hand, so there may be some error; please consider this as a guide.
Due to being military surplus, there may be scratches, scuffs, stains, wrinkles, loose threads, pinholes from rank insignia or patch removal, pilling, discoloration, repairs, etc.
There are repairs such as double-line stitch reinforcement and elbow scuffing.
Both sleeve ribs and hem ribs have fuzzing, but there appears to be no serious damage.
As a feature of the 45/P, there is a wind flap inside the zipper (vertical stitching).
It is for intermediate use, so it has padding, and the material gradually comes out of the lining, causing pilling.
Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for perfection or are overly sensitive.
