This is a genuine CWU-45/P flame-resistant flight jacket, originally adopted by the U.S. Air Force.
This is a government-issued item from AVIREX, dated DLA86.
Features include:
* VAA-195 195th Fighter Attack Squadron patch on the right chest.
* Velcro base for a name patch and a CV-62 foreign unit patch on the left chest.
* F/A-18 Hornet aircraft patch on the right sleeve.
* American flag patch (orange border) on the left sleeve.
All patches are sewn on.
A characteristic feature of the 45/P is the wind flap inside the zipper (zigzag stitching).

Material: Aromatic polyamide (Aramid flame-resistant material) = Trade name Nomex
Zipper is SCOVILL, with pull tab ribbon.
S-marked zipper on the sleeve pocket as well.

* Shoulder width (straight line): Approximately 52cm
* Sleeve length (shoulder seam to cuff ribbing): 58cm + 9cm ribbing
(Pit seam to sleeve rib base): 49cm
* Width (57cm (114cm circumference))

Due to being a military surplus item, there may be scratches, scuffs, stains, wrinkles, loose threads, pinholes from rank insignia or patch removal, pilling, discoloration, repairs, etc.
There are ink spots on the back and patch marks.
Both the sleeve and hem ribbing have some fuzzing, but there appears to be no serious damage.
It is an intermediate-weight jacket, so it has padding, and the material is gradually coming out and causing pilling on the lining.
