This is the Gen1 ECWCS Parka , the pinnacle of military items, featuring a breathable waterproof fabric that is waterproof, heat-retaining, and durable. The hood is equipped with brass rivets, giving it a more substantial and stylish look. The lower front pocket is slanted, commonly known as the 1st type (First Type), Type 1 (TYPE-1), or Generation 1.

ECWCS (EXTENDED COLD WEATHER CLOTHING SYSTEM) is a layering system for extremely cold climates that was officially adopted by the US military in the late 1980s. It is called the Extended Cold Weather Clothing System. In addition to the parka, the system includes synthetic innerwear/liners that can be interchanged depending on the climate of the activity area, making it a revolutionary clothing system that can adapt to various climates.

Storage includes two flap pockets on the sides, a utility pocket on the left arm, and inner pockets with Velcro closures on both sides next to the zipper.
