Wow! Collectors Alert! This is the real vintage deal folks. Allow me to point out a few reasons why you might find this clock to be special. First, this is the vintage original made for Howard Miller designed by George Nelson in the 50s. This is NOT the newer manufactured version by Vitra, which simply isn’t as attractive as this original. Second, many of these clocks have had the electric movement replaced by a cheap quartz movement over time. This one has NOT. Third, these originals hold their value and will only increase as they become more and more scarce.
These originals in very good condition range in price up to 1500 depending on where you shop them. This one has no scratches at all, but does have a slight lightened circle of stain on the top where it looks like someone tried to remove a sticker…see the last photo. It keeps good time and is very quiet. I like to be as authentic with my MCM decor as possible and want quality pieces that will go up in value. Don’t you?
