When you’re dispatched for a fracture, you often wonder exactly what equipment you’ll need once you get to the patient. Is it a fractured arm or leg? Will you need traction? What if it’s just a broken finger? Regardless of what type of extremity fracture your patient has suffered, the Sager Emergency Fracture Response System (SEFRS) will enable you to immobilize the fractures in the position found. By adjusting the padded shafts and the adaptors, you can fit SEFRS to simple straight-line fractures and complex angled fractures. You can also use the ankle hitch along with the ischeal perineal cushion to apply traction to femur fractures.i
