Vintage late 1930's or 1940's chestnut brown curly lamb fur coat. Color is rich and saturated in person. It did wash out in some of the close up shots. Rhomberg’s Famous for Furs label. Still in business in Dubuque, Iowa! Softer shoulders, not padded. Bell sleeves with satin elastic cuffs inside to keep drafts out. Original giant plastic & metal buttons. Two velvet lined side pockets. Pretty brown satin lily print lining. Approximate measurements taken on the outside of the garment, laid flat, unless specified otherwise are -Shoulder: 13” measured inside on back from seam to seamPit to Pit: 18”Length: 36”Sleeve: 24”Flaws: This coat was my favorite for years, but I sadly outgrew it. The last time I tried to wear it, I heard a rip and the seam behind the arm split. There are also old repairs under arms where leather patches were added (can't be seen when wearing) that could use reinforcement. Some minor edge wear fur loss on collar, and front edge, particularly near the button closure. Fur wear near pockets that isn’t very noticeable. Tag is in shabby shape. There might have been a chain at some time to attach to the decorative buttons atthe neck?
