This mens Caravelle by Bulova is considered a transition watch in 1978 when Bulova would soon be sold to others for use of the Name Bulova, and then finally sold to Citizen watch. This Caravelle is in the Presidential style with a chrome Tonneau case with a ribbed gold finish bezel with a radiant sunburst type Gold dial. The 36mm case was also a transition from the earlier 32-34mm case to the larger ones that we see today. The mechanical set and wind movement is a French made 140, which Bulova designates as a 1281-50.
