An enchanting Hand Carved Jade Quartz Sculptural Figure mounted as a Table Lamp on a Brass and Rosewood Stand, electrified with normal lightbulb and a rotary nob for a night light that enchantingly lights up the Green Jade Quartz sculptures around the lightbulb into a calming green white internal glow. This lamp dates to 1870. Motifs that are hand carved into this single Jade Quartz Stone of 9 1/2” height, 4” width, and 2 1/2” thick include two opposite facing ducks (one near the brass electrical piping) looking backwards while the duck on the front of the lamp looks straight ahead. Below the ducks are carved pedestals, atop four legged animals. Aside the ducks there look to be two skulls or other animal heads, below which are blooming flowers with little circles signifying petals. Jade Quartz has natural cracks, some of which are highlighted by years of dust seeping in. The Brass Base and top pieces have floral motifs. Dimensions are: 32 1/2” tall, 6” by 5” base, and 11 lbs weight.
