This 1990 painting by famed artist, art historian, and collector, Jean Lipman (1909-1998) depicts Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.
Unfortunately it has some major condition issues I believe to have been caused by water damage, including warping of the academy board, paint separation, and mildew. Additionally, the collage element of the Native American is curling.
This could be a great opportunity for an up and coming conservator to gain experience on a piece by a very influential person in the world of art, or display as is.
It measures 26.5 x 32” and is in a nice archival frame. Can be sold without frame for lower shipping cost, message if that’s your preference.
