An incredibly luxurious blend of 55% linen and 45% rayon, yet it's not a shirt, but rather pants – a further extravagance.
I've occasionally seen this blend in vintage high-end department store and OEM shirts, but pants are a complete first for me.
In the first place, blending linen and rayon, which have opposite properties, requires extremely advanced processing and weaving techniques, making production nearly impossible.
The feel is the crisp texture of linen, but thanks to the rayon blend, it has a beautiful drape and a flowing look – the best pants ever.
I've honestly never seen anything like it.
Also, the silhouette is a wide, straight hakama style with almost no taper, which is really great.
The stripes are a resort-style design with a white base and thin pink and brown stripes.
Rather than a long inseam, the rise is long, but because the fabric is so luxurious, I haven't hemmed them.
The waist is 35 inches, but there's a drawstring, so cinch it up as much as you like.
I recommend wearing them with a slight gather, as shown in the photos, rather than a sleek fit, because of the rayon blend. This will enhance the drape and look cool.
