Atlas Shrugged is one of the most controversial books in modern literature. It's a passionate defense of Rand's belief that the world's best served when individuals act entirely in their own rational self-interest. In financial circles it has been dubbed the Bible of selfishness .

Ayn Rand (1905-1982) was a Russian-American novelist, philosopher, playwright, & screenwriter. She's known for developing a philosophical system she called objectivism, explored in her two best selling novels.

The dust jacket is original & brittle. The book itself is in very good condition. It has a handwritten note from the giver as pictured. The binding is tight, there is discoloration on the very inside front as pictured. You can see this doesn't carry on through the book and the pages are in great shape.
