Andre L'Helguen's work in ceramics became famous during the 1960's and 1970's. I believe this incised and polychrome piece was made for Kemper Kerluc in West France. It was designed to be used as a lamp. The lamp works do not appear to have ever been added. It is signed on the base and the bottom. This body of his work t is considered to fall into Midcentury Modern.
