The embossed square that The Circle is in 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 .
In the lower left hand corner is embossed NAHAN for the gallery in New Orleans.
Included is the provenace signed by Fred Elliot from the NAHAN GALLEIES and the original cream colored folder.
Max Papart:
French painter Max Papart studied printmaking in Paris and explore etching with carborundum, a technique much favored by Joan Miro. Known for “composing rather than painting, and worked in a semi-cubist style. Many of his original signed paintings and drawings present the viewer.
