Bambi Deer Ice Slip on Marble with Bronze Figure MCM Art Deco Artemetallica Statue Rare
This is a rare MCM Art Deco era depiction of Bambi Crossing the Ice down by Artemetallica Made in Mexico. Weighty at 6 pounds, statue has felt bottom with screws that hold separate copper Bambi piece to base. In total the statue base is 8.5” wide by 6” long, .5” thick. Statue itself is 9” tall by 5.5” wide. Total statue height is 10” tall.
I have had multiple experts look at this piece and can not 100% tell me if the statue is Copper or Brass, it is smooth and heavy, to tap it is solid. Non magnetic, though I can’t say if it’s either with 100% certainty.
Please note the flaw in the marble on the base, there are two spots near the front that are like this, you can see them in the pic if you zoom in.
