This southerly looming view photographed from the earth orbiting space shuttle Columbia clearly shows a small portion of the vehicles aft section. Included are part of its cargo bay, some of the compartments of the office of space science payload, and the majority of the 50-ft. Long Canadian built remote manipulator system. The Mediterranean Sea is at the right foreground. Parts of the Binal peninsula, israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon can be located in the photo. The Red Sea, gulf of Aqaba, Suez Canal, are near the horizon at the photos top. The Dead Sea is in the center. The frames were exposed with a 70mm handheld camera…”
